Some women love when their ex-boyfriends downgrade to someone less attractive. I am not one of these women, though I do find it interesting. I would be lying if I said that this hasn’t happened to me and I would also be lying if I said that it didn’t really piss me off when it did. The classic “downgrade” is something that my best friend, Dani, and I talk about all the time. She and I find ourselves to be attractive people, but it seems like all of our boyfriends always rebound, or even cheat, with what we like to call “ugos”. I know, harsh word, but this is what we actually call them. :)

        

Dani’s boyfriend of over 3 years cheated on her with someone that we have since called “no chin girl”. At that exact time, the guy I was seeing had just broken up with me for someone that I felt was far less attractive. I thought I was doing him a favor in the first place by dating him because he carried a purse! My friends gave me shit about his purse the entire time we dated! By the way, neither of them are with these girls now.

         

Why do men do this? Who the hell knows! But I’m pretty sure that they are all guilty of “the downgrade”. Someone should do research on this because it has to be a scientific fact. Can you think of one guy who’s graded up? To be honest, I can’t.
